After the discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb in 1922 by Howard Carter, interest in ancient Egypt grew. The arts were especially impacted, as Egyptian motifs were incorporated into architecture, interior design and fashion. This evening coat is evidence of that trend, as seen in the detailed design.
