Model Spear Case

The model spear case (17.9.4) is painted to imitate the ox-hide used in actual military equipment. It holds seven model spears (17.9.5–.11), two of which have been removed for this photograph. The model weapons and shield (17.9.3) were made for the burial of a Middle Kingdom official. (See also 17.9.3–.11-related.)
