This painting shows an arched room filled with numerous male and some female figures, all wearing colorful kaftans, white, black, or green turbans, and headdresses. In the center are two veiled figures distinguished by flaming halos flickering around their heads: depicted are Husain at the deathbed of his older brother Hasan— the two sons of 'Ali and important Shi'i figures.
