Boat-Shaped Bowl — Unknown

A creative restorer conceived the shape of this, as demonstrated by the seam down its center. The fragments used are all medieval except for the rim’s two pointed ends, modeled in plaster. Seemingly odd, the choice of shape was inspired by the persistence of the boat form in Iranian artifacts.
