Papyrus Fragment
Unknown
8th–10th century · Ink on papyrus · Islamic Art

This papyrus displays ten lines on one side and three lines on the other. It is written in an abbreviated cursive script in black ink. The fragment contains the formula of a letter: it starts with thanking god and his prophet Muhammed, then sends greetings to the addressee and listing his family members, and finally arrives to the author’s main point, which is missing here.
