Head of a Man with a Shaved Head
Unknown
ca. 1802–1650 BC · Metagraywacke · Egyptian Art

This compelling, bald-headed man has a large skull with distinctive details and an overall angularity. It’s unusual features, particularly the U-shaped depression at the top of the head, may indicate that it is the product of a singular sculpture workshop that produced statues with distinctive stylistic elements.
