Upper Part of a Statue Probably Depicting a Man
Unknown
ca. 2030–1802 BC · Wood, paint · Egyptian Art

The head, shoulders, and upper torso of this small wood figure are preserved. Because of the hairstyle, it has previously been described as a depiction of a young woman, but the lack of breasts and patches of light red color suggest it more likely to depicts a man.
