Figure of a Striding Man

This little figure, broken mid-calf, has a squat, rectangular head capped by a bagwig, thin arms, and large fisted hands. He wears a shendyt-kilt. He belongs to a group of similarly posed, small figurines made for lower-level members of Egyptian society, who had the means to commission modest artworks either for their burial places or as temple donations.
