ca. 430 BCE · Terracotta · Greek and Roman Art

Woman dressing This charming, intimate vignette shows a woman who has already done her hair and put on a necklace and thigh band. Behind her stands a large plemochoe, a vase for scented oil. She lifts her chiton from the chair, which is provided with a pillow and, in the background, a footstool.
