Relief with Pelops and Hippodamaia The hero Pelops won the hand of Hippodamaia after defeating her father, King Oinomaos, in a chariot race, by bribing Myrtilos, the king's charioteer. As shown on 26.60.1, King Oinomaos mounts the chariot driven by his charioteer, Myrtilos, who has fixed the race so that Pelops will win.
