Bowl — Meissen Manufactory

Battle scenes—based on, if not copied from, engravings—were popular towards the middle of the century. Most have been attributed to Georg Philipp Rugendas (1666–1772), but as the scenes on this bowl have not been traced to him they may represent the work of an intermediate artist.
