Paolo Giovio, Historian and Prelate, Bishop of Nocera (d. 1552) — Francesco da Sangallo

Francesco's activity as an architect and sculptor is apparent in his large, bold, high-relief medals. They follow the tradition of Florentine works by Niccolò Fiorentino unlike the small, refined examples of Francesco's contemporaries.
