Chessmen (32) and box — Unknown

The kings represent Napoleon and the Mameluke ruler of Egypt, the queens, Josephine and the Egyptian queen. The bishops are humorous figures, playing horn, cymbals, or tambourine; one holds a falcon, painted like a parrot. The pawns of both sides are fighting men, each a different model.
