Psyche ("La Nymphe Falconet")
Sèvres Manufactory|Etienne-Maurice Falconet
1766–73 · Figure: soft-paste biscuit porcelain; base: glazed porcelain, enameled and gilt · European Sculpture and Decorative Arts

Falconet showed a plaster version of the figure as a pendant to his L'Amour Menaçant (see 45.60.1a, b) of the Salon of 1761 and seems to have made the model for the porcelain in the same year.
