See 34.94.2 for another piece of same wall hanging, derived from a popular textile design by Daniel Marot from ca. 1712. Marot, court architect to William III, greatly influenced the decorative arts in the Netherlands at this time; his publication from 1702–1715 of several series of ornamental designs contributed to the popularization of the Louis XIV style in the Netherlands.
