François Girardon
ca. 1680–1700 · Bronze, later mounted on black marble socle · European Sculpture and Decorative Arts

The bust, cast with rather thick walls, adapts that of the ancient Roman marble Pomona in the Uffizi, Florence. It and its mate, Bacchus (32.100.195), may represent the seasons Summer and Autumn.
