A Martyred Saint
Unknown
late 15th or early 16th century · Basse-taille enamel on gold · European Sculpture and Decorative Arts

A pendant to this enamel, with another martyred saint holding a book and a palm frond, was formerly in the Figdor Collection in Vienna. The size and shape of these plaques indicate that they were originally attached to the arms of a cross.
