Double Louis-d'or of Louis XV of France, 1750
Joseph-Charles Roettiers
1759 · Gold · European Sculpture and Decorative Arts

The motto on the reverse, The Might of the Most Christian Kingdom is triumphant 1759, is found frequently on French coins from 1690 (Louis XIV), but as Quebec, with all Canada, was lost in the year 1759, and the conquest of India well on its way under Clive, its application here seems hard to guess.
