Made of soft, comfortable wool, this jacket would have only been worn indoors. There is nothing restricting about the style, defining it as informal home wear. The fabric has a sense of importance as it is clearly an inspiration from Persian designs and could be seen outside of the boudoir. Likely, the jacket was worn with house guests and intimate friends at casual meetings indoors.
