Negligée — Iris Lingerie Co., Inc.|Mrs. Sylvia Pedlar

This negligee is an iconic design from Sylvia Pedlar, being her interpretation of the classical Greek toga. According to accounts of the time this specific negligee was for people who preferred to sleep in the nude to wear before bed, as it is loose fitting and easy to remove. A noteworthy piece, it was advertised on the cover of Life in 1962 and was also featured in a lead article for Harper's Bazaar in 1962. Additionally, Pedlar was given a Coty Award for this design.
