This nightgown is an excellent example, showing how Pedlar continued to use the toga form which she originated in the 1950s. Additionally, it is an example of her interpretation of historical forms. The stand-away cuffed neckline was very popular in dresses of the mid-1960s and Pedlar combines this type of neckline with the tie bow at the shoulder and the loose fit, maintaining the idea of the toga.
