Beachwear — Mainbocher|Mainbocher

This beach hat is of particular interest because of its design. The crown looks as if a scarf has been wrapped like a bandana and knotted at back. Beachwear designs were very popular during the thirties, as the trend for sun tanning grew. This particular style seems to be a signature of Mainbocher.
