Tall Clock
Simon Willard|Benjamin Willard
1772 · Mahogany, cherry, white pine · The American Wing

This clock is a characteristic example of the Willard brothers’ collaborative work from about 1771–75 and is well documented. Its inscriptions reveal the name of the original owner, its date and place of origin, that it was Benjamin Willard’s 131st clock, and that its movement was the ninth made by Simon Willard.
