Neck Ornament — Unknown

Heavy necklaces like this one were worn as part of a suite of jewelry by Bedouin women in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Jewelry was an important part of the dowry in a marriage process and became the bride’s personal wealth which she would keep even in the case of divorce, and could sell if needed.
