This standing attendant is likely a rare representation of a non-Han Chinese figure from the north, as suggested by his plump face with narrowed eyes, his long hair in double braids, and his costume of a tunic with wide lapels, loose trousers, and pointed boots. His belt, from which a triangular pouch, a knife, and a circular box are suspended, also reflects the nomadic way of life.
