After almost five years of brutal conflict, World War II came to an end with Germany surrendering on May 8, 1945, followed by Japan on September 2 after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This poster celebrates the victory of the Allies and the Soviet Red Army and the "total destruction of fascism." Triumph is expressed through striking imagery: a bayonet stuck in Hitler’s eye socket, chaotic surrounding debris, and rays of light in the background that suggest a new dawn. The text describes the jubilation of the artists at the TGP, the workers, and all those who fought for progress in Mexico. Tras casi cinco años de brutal conflicto, la Segunda Guerra Mundial finalizó con la rendición de Alemania el 8 de mayo de 1945, seguida por la de Japón el 2 de septiembre tras los bombardeos atómicos de Hiroshima y Nagasaki. Este cartel celebra la victoria de los Aliados y el Ejército Rojo soviético y la «destrucción total del fascismo». El triunfo se expresa por medio de unas impactantes imágenes: una bayoneta clavada en la cuenca del ojo de Hitler, escombros caóticos alrededor y, en el fondo, rayos de luz que sugieren un nuevo amanecer. En el texto se describe el júbilo de los artistas del TGP, los trabajadores y todos aquellos que lucharon por el progreso en México.
