Olive-green ground vase with pâte-sur-pâte decoration — Minton(s)|Louis Marc Emmanuel Solon

Solon, a ceramic technician who initially trained at Sèvres, developed this cameo-type decoration at Minton. At the Staffordshire manufactory, Solon combined pâte-sur-pâte with rich ground colors such as the olive green seen on this vase.
