This print by Antoine Jean Duclos is based on a drawing by Augustin de Saint-Aubin. The pendant, Le Concert, is also in the museum’s collection. The pair was advertised for sale in late 1774. A formal full-dress ball takes place in an elegant square salon lit by candelabras. The design is surrounded by an ornamental trompe-l’oeil frame with a dedication and a coat of arms.
