Sam Kramer

Sam Kramer was a notable modernist jeweler, part of a community of makers in New York’s Greenwich Village during the 1940s and 1950s that included Ed Wiener and Art Smith. Kramer was well known for his playful biomorphic forms, and his use of found objects and everyday materials (for example, taxidermy glass eyes) which imbued his jewelry with a trademark humor and irreverence.
