The Anatomist — Thomas Rowlandson|Thomas Tegg

An elderly surgeon leans over a bag of instruments on a table and holds a knife in his right hand. A girl seizes him by the arm and points behind her to his subject, a young man lying who has just awoken, throwing a sheet off and looking horrified. A notice is on the wall behind them, which reads, "A Course of Anatomical Lectures accompanied with Dissections will be delivered tommorrow Even[ing] by Professer Sawbone."
