Josef Hoffmann|Bertold Löffler|Wiener Werkstätte
ca. 1910 · Brass · Modern and Contemporary Art

Josef Hoffmann was a pivotal figure in the development of modern design during the early 20th century in Europe, through his co-founding (with Koloman Moser) of the Wiener Werkstatte in 1903. This pill box represents Hoffmann's design approach during the early years of the Wiener Werkstätte, when he would often incorporate curvilinear, organic motifs common to the then-fashionable Jugendstil and Art Nouveau styles.
