The Brombroosh is a drawing the noted artist and writer Wyndham Lewis created for, and published in, his artistic and literary journal "The Tyro: A Review of the Arts of Painting, Sculpture, and Design." Created in 1921, "The Tyro" had a very limited run before it folded in 1922. It was devoted to British literary and artistic modernism and, by extension, an engagement with contemporary British life. This drawing appeared in the first issue of The Tyro as a full-length illustration on page 5, following a statement by Lewis and several essays by T.S. Eliot.
