The question posed at the top of this flyer—"Why is it that life is so expensive?"—is answered by the image and text below. The fault lies with the "hoarders" shown sitting on a "ladder of parasites" who exploit workers and charge inflated prices for food. The day will come, the text explains, when the culprits will be forced to pay the workers fairly. La pregunta planteada en la parte superior de esta octavilla, «Por qué es tan cara la vida», queda respondida en la imagen y el texto que aparecen debajo. La culpa es de los «acaparadores», sentados en una «escalera de parásitos», que explotan a los trabajadores cobrando precios inflados por los alimentos. Llegará el día —explica el texto— en el que estos culpables serán obligados a pagar precios justos a los campesinos.
