From the shoulder of the hydria, a band of tongues; below, head, neck, and bent raised right arm, holding a spear, of a draped, helmeted warrior to left, with a round shield in his left hand; a second fragment, also from the shoulder, has black glaze; a third fragment depicts the heads, chests, and legs of two harnessed horses to right; behind the two horses, a grazing deer to left; at the right, part of the ivy from the panel ornament; below, a band of upright lotus buds; a fourth fragment, has ivy from the panel ornament; a fifth fragment has rays from the bottom of the vase; three black glaze fragments
