Bedstead — United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing (“Shakers”)

The Shakers favored trundle bedsteads with nonpivoting wooden wheels that allowed the bed to be pulled straight out from the wall for changing and cleaning. The 1845 Millennial Laws specified that "bedsteads should be painted green."
