Obverse, at the shoulder, a band of tongues; below, at the left, Dionysos, looking over his right shoulder, wearing a chiton and himation, holding a vine tendril and kantharos in his left hand; filleted satyr to left, with his right arm bent, gesturing to Dionysos; draped, wreathed maenad to left; Reverse, part of a draped maenad wearing a chiton, holding a wineskin that bears the inscription, [K]ALOS; draped maenad wearing a chiton and himation with her right arm protruding from the sleeve of her chiton, and her left hand grasping her himation; wreathed maenad to left, wearing a chiton, with her arms extended in front of her; the panel ornament on both obverse and reverse are chains of pomegranates; fragment of the neck and mouth of the stamnos, with a bit of the band of tongues
