This broadside presents a dense account of the Ten Tragic Days (La decena trágica, February 9–19, 1913), the name given to the coup orchestrated in Mexico City by opponents of the democratically elected president, Francisco Madero. Supported by the old regime and the United States, who wanted a return of the former political order, the coup was ordered by head of the Federal Army, General Victoriano Huerta. Madero resigned and Huerta became president on February 20. Two days later, the incarcerated Madero and his deputy were assassinated, allegedly in the act of trying to escape. Esta hoja volante ofrece un denso relato de la Decena Trágica (del 9 al 19 de febrero de 1913), como se conoce el golpe de estado orquestado en México por los oponentes de Francisco Madero, el presidente elegido democráticamente. El golpe, apoyado por el viejo régimen y por Estados Unidos, que anhelaban un regreso a la situación política anterior, fue ordenado por el general Victoriano Huerta, jefe del Ejército Federal. Madero renunció y Huerta fue investido presidente el 20 de febrero. Dos días más tarde, Madero y su vicepresidente fueron asesinados cuando, supuestamente, intentaban escapar.
