Costume design for a Shepherdess, for the ballet 'Les Tentations de la Bergère' (The Temptations of the Shepherdess), premiered at the Théâtre de Monte Carlo in 1924. The costume consists of a calf-length dress of greenish-brown color, with triangles of overlapping, white and green scales on the bodice and front of the skirt, and white scrolling motifs and green border on the skirt, worn over a wide-sleeved, white chemise and white stockings. A greenish-brown hat tied with a green lace around the neck covers the long, black hair, and greenish-gold high heels with bows dress the feet. The shepherdess holds on her shoulders a long stick with two buckets with grape vines, hanging on its edges.
