Drawing, design for a man's costume, part of a group of 88 costume designs by Vincente Minnelli. The costume was designed for Ethel Waters to wear in the number 'Hottentot Potentate', from the show 'At Home Abroad', a show created for the Shuberts, directed by Minnelli and Thomas Mitchell, and performed in Broadway in 1935. The costume consists of a white jacket with a red pocket square, a leopard print skirt with red belt, white gloves, large, white earrings, and a double necklace made up of white triangles.
