Drawing, design for a man's costume, part of a group of 88 costume designs by Vincente Minnelli. The costume was designed for the number 'O Leo', from the musical 'At Home Abroad', created for the Shuberts and performed in Broadway in 1935. It consists of a green jacket with orange lapels with stars, worn over a cream shirt with brown tie and a green waistcoat with orange waistband with semi-abstract motifs embroidered in brown, light brown shorts with brown buttons and trimmings, long, green socks with orange bands, green and brown shoes, and orange hat with brown band and feather. An additional sheet of notes, typed by Vincente Minnelli, presents the details of the costume design: "#43 / Olive green suede jacket with orange lapels on / which there are white stars. Green waistcoat / with orange waistband embroidered in brown. / White knit shirt with brown necktie. Light / brown suede shorts embroidered in dark brown. / Orange suede hat with brown band and feather. Green wool sock with orange bands."
