Published by Giovanni Andrea (called "Guadagnino") Vavassore, Italian, active 16th century, Venice. From top to bottom, and left to right: design composed of 2 circles. Top circle illustrated with intertwining vines and leaves and small 8-petaled black flower in center. Bottom circle contains grid and large 8-petaled black flower in center. There are 6 illustrations (3 on left and 3 on right) of flowers existing outside of the circles, yet remaining within the frame of the design.
