Series of Small Flower Motifs, Plate 1
Paul Androuet Ducerceau|Nicolas Langlois
ca. 1670–85 · Etching [printed from 2 plates] · Drawings and Prints

Plate 1 from an untitled series of six plates with designs of flower motifs, possibly meant for silk embroidery. This plate presents four fantastical flower motifs, printed from 2 small vertical plates. The flower motifs are reminiscent of the flowers described elsewhere as 'a la persienne' (in the Persian manner).
