Silver overlaid chairs, tables and even case pieces of mostly English models were made in India under British rule. Throughout the 19th century and 20th century, furnishings in the Indian style were made in various many parts of India and Ceylon (today Sri Lanka). There is no Anglo-Indian furniture of this type in our collection.
