Mummy of Nesiamun — Unknown

The mummified body of a man named Nesiamun is not on view, but rests inside his closed coffin (which is displayed in gallery 130; see 26.3.11a, b). CT scans of his mummy show that Nesiamun sustained several serious injuries before death, including a broken left shoulder and fractures of his pelvis and skull. From the inscription on the coffin's lid we know that Nesiamun's parents were named Bakenamun and Tahathor.
