Fragment from a door — Unknown

These seven fragments (23.3.174b–h) come from a wooden door that was found at the entrance to a rock-cut tomb high in the cliffs above the temples at Deir el-Bahri. One of the fragments preserves the last three hieroglyphs of the name of a king Mentuhotep and the lower part of the cartouche that enclosed it, incised into the wood. Chips bearing additional hieroglyphs were also found nearby.
