Amulet of Anubis on his Shrine

This delicate amulet, representing a jackal recumbent atop a shrine, was found in a tomb at Abydos along with several other silver objects. The jackal here most likely represents either Anubis, god of embalming, or Wepwawet, the deity who escorted the deceased into the afterlife.
