Scarab Inscribed for Hatshepsut

This scarab was found in one of the foundation deposits located along the front wall of the lower court of Hatshepsut's funerary temple at Deir el-Bahri. The inscription on the base records Hatshepsut's personal name (Hatshepsut). Two other scarabs from this group have variations of the same inscription that show a very similar style (27.3.167, 27.3.173). The backs of these three scarabs are also quite similar.
