This tax receipt is dated to September 26, 174 BCE. Traditionally, wine was produced in the north and in the oases, but a tax reform during the reign of Ptolemy II Philadelphos encouraged viticulture around Thebes and Gebelein, in which—according to the text—the tax was paid.
