Scarab with a Pair of Crocodiles

The underside of this small scarab shows a pair of crocodiles, placed upside-down in opposition. The crocodile is the animal of the god Sobek, but can also represent the pharaoh. In hieroglyphs, the word sovereign (ity) is written with two crocodiles.
