Jar — Unknown

Artists involved in the construction of the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings resided nearby in Deir el-Medina. To avoid the daily travel, workmen built temporary huts closer to their place of work. A vessel of this size could contain sustenance for a number of people or for an extended stay.
